Creche at Masakhane
The creche at Masakhane is up and running!
4 mothers from the community are currently being trained as child caretakers. The crèche is currently running between 10h00 and 12h00 daily.
Basic teacher-training and orientation is being provided to these women by a qualified facilitator. In service training takes place once a week at a local crèche. Go and see some happy little faces at http://themasakhanechildren.blogspot.com
Life Skills Course completed
The Life Skills course which was provided by SABMiller has been completed. 13 People have completed this course. Specific skills-training needs have been identified for this group which consisted mainly of young adults. Read more at

Funny Face Challenge - go for it!

So: This is what you need to do:
Send us a picture of yourself (or someone else, with their permission!) made-up or pulling a funny face or doing something funny together with a humorous caption or message to go with it to villagepowercdp@gmail.com. We will send you the rules and account details. Entries cost R 50-00 for Adults and R 40-00 for children.
Challenge a friend, work-mate or group to take part and be funnier than you!
Your funny face will be included in our gallery on the 'Village Power Funny Face Drive' Facebook page. Become a fan of this page and be able to see how our funny face gallery grows funnier by the day!
Village Power is a registered non-profit organisation (section 21 company).
